As you can see in the picture above, it's still impurrtant to keep some sort of leash attached to your cat while camping. What they have is called a “lead line”, and it is basically one long wire that you connect at two end points, and their leash attaches to that line, allowing them 360 degrees of movement, but still providing some sort of boundary to how far they can wander.

Even cats that are used to the outdoors can still get spooked pretty easily, which is why it's important to always keep an eye on your cat even if they're attached to some sort of lead. You never know when some stray raccoon might come up and try to steal some of their food!
